One plus one equals three! Improving vocabulary acquisition and learning in pupils with speech and language impairments

This study describes the use of science with secondary-aged pupils to help devel op vocabulary acquisition in pupils with speech and language difficulties. It suggests that the teaching of specific vocabulary teaching objectives in practi cal teaching context can support children’s learning of scientific concepts.
